TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services for any customer or dog at any time without prior notice, for reasons including, but not limited to, instances where a dog exhibits aggressive behaviour toward another dog or a human. While we are not legally required to provide Terms and Conditions, these are provided for transparency and adherence to best practices. By using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Please note that these Terms may change at any time without notice, and it is your responsibility to stay informed.
2. Bedding
All Bedding brought from home must be clean and freshly laundered. This ensures a hygienic and comfortable environment for all our guests.
3. Scent Marking
If a dog marks inside the house, a belly band will be used. Continued marking may result in the emergency contact being required to collect the dog.
4. Drop-Off and Collection
Dogs must be dropped off and picked up at the agreed time and date by the owner or a pre-approved proxy. If a proxy is collecting the dog, this must be arranged in advance, and ID will be required before the dog is released. Owners are responsible for inspecting their dog upon collection. We cannot accept liability for any illness or injury discovered after collection unless deemed wholly negligent.
5. Vaccinations
All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatments before their stay. Proof of vaccinations for canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, leptospirosis, and canine parvovirus must be provided prior to the trial night or stay, even if you have used our service before. While the kennel cough vaccine is recommended, it is not mandatory. However, if your dog has received the kennel cough vaccine within two weeks of their stay, we cannot accept their booking due to the live nature of the vaccine.
6. Emergency Proxy Contacts
It is essential that your designated emergency proxy is aware of your dog’s stay with us and has our contact information. You and your emergency proxy must remain contactable 24/7 throughout the duration of the dog’s stay.
7. Collar and ID Tag
We will provide your dog with a Stay Furever ID tag for their collar during their stay. If preferred, owners may provide their own collar compatible with our tag. Any collar provided by the owner is used at the owner’s risk. Collars will remain on the dog whilst in the boundaries of Stay Furever and out in public. Collars will always be removed at bedtime.
8. Personal Items
Any personal items left with your dog are at your own risk. While we take care to prevent loss or damage, we cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of personal belongings.
9. Dog Walks
You consent to your dog being walked off-site on a lead and with other dogs from different households, including our resident dogs, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
10. Interaction with Other Dogs
You consent to your dog interacting and playing with dogs from other households and our resident dogs, unless a prior agreement has been made.
11. Neutered Males
We do not accept intact male dogs who have not been neutered.
12. Exercise and Play
Dogs new to daycare or boarding may experience higher levels of physical and mental activity, which may result in them being more tired than usual after their stay. Dogs will be exercised off-lead within the secure Stay Furever boundaries and on-lead during walks. No walks will occur during extreme weather conditions for the safety of the dogs. If you have specific exercise requirements, please inform us before your dog’s stay.
13. Sleeping Arrangements
Dogs may share sleeping spaces with dogs from other households and resident dogs unless otherwise agreed in advance.
14. Crate Use
If your dog uses a crate, you may request that they continue to be crated at night during their stay. Stay Furever will provide a suitable crate for this purpose upon request.
15. Medication
We can only administer prescribed medication, including creams, ointments, or sprays, provided by a vet. Clear instructions must be given at the time of the trial or drop-off.
16. Accidental Injury or Illness
Dogs are accepted at the owner’s risk. While we take every possible precaution, we cannot be held responsible for illness, injury, or loss unless deemed wholly negligent. Should your dog become ill during their stay, we will contact you or your emergency proxy and isolate the dog to prevent the spread of illness.
If urgent care is required, we will take your dog to the vet as per your consent form. No refunds will be provided if your dog is ill. Owners are responsible for informing us of any health concerns or veterinary advice prior to drop-off. Failure to do so may result in termination of the stay without a refund.
17. Veterinary Intervention
In the event of illness, we will contact you or your emergency proxy immediately. If we are unable to reach you, we will seek veterinary care in the dog’s best interest, regardless of the cost. Owners are responsible for covering all veterinary fees incurred during the stay.
18. IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease)
Whilst every possible care is taken to ensure your dog is well looked after here at Stay Furever, it is entirely possible that they could have an IVDD episode due to the nature of the disease. This being whilst they are here or when they return to you. Through no fault of anyone's, sadly the rupturing process can happen over a period of weeks or in a moment and this can be undetectable. A dog that appears healthy and happy one minute can suddenly present odd symptoms and signs of pain. This means you agree to take the risk of leaving your dog but understand the risks associated with IVDD and that we cannot be held responsible for IVDD or damage unless deemed wholly negligent.
19. Cancellation Policy
Stay Furever cannot be held accountable for financial losses resulting from cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control. Should we be able to fill your cancelled booking with another dog, we will gladly refund the payment for the days that have been successfully rebooked. We will inform you promptly if this is achievable. In the event of a cancellation, it is essential for us to safeguard both our business and our livelihood.
If your payment is due and you cancel less than 30 days prior to the boarding date, the full balance must be settled. We will make every effort to find a new customer to take your place. Cancellations may lead to forfeiture of payment. If we successfully rebook the cancelled dates with another dog, we will issue a refund for those rebooked days. However, if you cancel within 30 days of your booking and we are unable to fill the vacancy, the entire balance will be due. If you have already paid in full and cancel within this timeframe, your payment will be retained as no refunds will be issued.
For bookings longer than 5 nights:
• A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking.
• The remaining balance (75%) is due two weeks before the start date.
• If you cancel after paying the deposit but before the remaining balance is due, the deposit will be retained.
• Bookings made within 14 days of the stay must be paid in full.
All Payments including deposits are non-refundable. If you have paid a deposit for boarding and cancel within 30 days this will be non-refundable and the full balance is will be due. If you cancel with over 30 days notice we will keep your deposit but transfer it to a future stay. No refunds will be given.
20. Retention of Personal Information
Your data will not be shared with third parties and will be securely disposed of three years after the contract ends, unless required by law.
